Release Facial Cupping
Cupping is one of the oldest techniques in bodywork, and the facial version is the gentlest form of it. A soft silicone cup is squeezed, placed on oiled skin, and released. That creates a light vacuum which lifts the skin and the tissue beneath it away from the layers underneath. It brings warmth to the surface, The suction draws blood into the fine vessels near the skin, which is why the face looks flushed and lit from within for a while afterward. It encourages fluid to move. Worked in the right direction, always outward and then down the neck, it softens the look of puffiness. Most noticeable under the eyes and along the jaw.
Cupping works in the opposite direction to everything else. Rather than pressing down, it draws upward. The cup lifts the tissue instead of compressing it, which is why it feels unlike any massage you have had, and why it suits a face that looks tired rather than one that feels tense.
Two cups. The small one for the jaw, under the eyes and along the brow. The large one for the cheeks, neck and décolleté.
